I honestly can't really wrap my head around this one. Niggas on the moon seems to have a more sexually anguished theme, so my guess is that this line does have some significant meaning to them. They even made it into a shirt, so this must be an important lyric to them...right? So what do you think, deep meaning or are they just being edgy?

I think a lot of people can relate to that line. It's a sad dark truth that some of us have experienced or are still experiencing in some fashion.
I do have a whacked out theory about NOTM. For some reason I can't shake the feeling that DG are hinting their departure in the album but in a really sadistic and primal way. DG have said they discover music as accelerated. Given all their album's tonality, I'm pretty sure their lives effected what they wrote and accelerated those feelings and/or thoughts. Maybe TPTB really is DG at their best because they actually set out to break their own attractions. In doing so, they've truly moved on and have nothing else to say as Death Grips. This makes me hopeful that the other guys still have more to say creatively and artistically speaking in future projects now that DG are officially done.

People on rapgenius are really desperate to find meaning where there is none. |
