people started talking about Hella in the Zach Hill solo thread so I figured we need one of these. My favorite albums by them are Hold Your Horse Is and Tripper.

Got into Hold Your Horse Is the other day. Sounds like an even more technical, albeit more minimal Hypermagic Mountain. Great stuff.

The first Hella album I really got into was There's No 666 in Outer Space, because it was the only one with vocals. It's still one of my favorite albums, and I never see it getting the recognition I believe it deserves, probably because the vocals sound very similar to The Mars Volta.

It's still one of my favorite albums, and I never see it getting the recognition I believe it deserves, probably because the vocals sound very similar to The Mars Volta. i'm not the biggest fan of the album as a whole, but the song you linked is what i think is one of their absolute best songs. i love hold your horse is and tripper, but i think church gone wild/chirpin hard is fucking sick as well.
