I was surprised on my last listen of the Money store how used to it I'd gotten. not as bumping as it used to be. hard to judge it properly when I know every detail of every song. I'm trying to not do that to NOTM but how can I turn it off (ex = notm) < 1st half of gp < nldw < $tore

i wonder if it would have changed our minds about government plates if they released it as two separate EPs. because i always thought the first three songs were so strong together as a trio, they almost didn't need an entire rest of an album to stand up on their own.
(p.s. i'm going off popular opinion of "government plates isn't their best". i personally love it.)

My current opinion:
The Money Store = No Love Deep Web > Niggas on the Moon > Exmilitary > Government Plates
I love The Money Store because of how nuts every song is, that album is so dense and catchy with crazy glitchy production.
No Love Deep Web is awesome because it's their most consistently dark record yet, that whole album sits in such an uncomfortable place. I love how consistent its angst it.
Niggas on the Moon is up there because it's so off-kilter and strange, the synth on the beginning of Billy Not Really is one of my favorite moments in Death Grips history
I love Exmilitary, and it was a great start, but some of the sampling and songwriting on that album is still a little down-to-earth and basic compared to a lot of the more crazy stuff Death Grips put out later.
Government Plates has a few of my favorite Death Grips songs ever (Whatever I Want, Anne Bonny, Birds) but the lack of ride on some of the middle tracks kills a bit of the vibe. I still adore it, but I can't help but imagine how great it would be if Ride rapped over Feels Like a Wheel or Government Plates.

They're all really good, just NLDW was the hardest to get into with me.
