im the only person in the world who likes Government Plates. why? You're not the only one btw. It's an awesome album, just maybe not their best. I guess it's from the lack of Ride, and I guess how repetitive the beats were. Whatever I Want has to be one of the best DG songs of all time.

im the only person in the world who likes Government Plates. why? It's a great album, but it reeked of misused potential for me. How come anytime something gets really instrumentally adventurous Ride is nowhere to be found? Feels Like a Wheel, I'm Overflow, Government Plates, and Bootleg all had "verse" sections that would have been amazing to hear Stefan over, but he only hops in when it comes to the hook. That would be alright if the song structures weren't just the typical DG formula looped over and over again, but they are. It felt like the album was trying something really new, but Ride wasn't running with it and the group couldn't break out of the verse/chorus/verse/chorus structure.

im the only person in the world who likes Government Plates. why? na, man! that album is great! the problem with death grip's discography is that so many of the albums are great, albums like government plates usually get placed into the 3rd best or 4th best spot. it's still a great album, but a lot of people just don't think it's as great as no love deep web or such.

exmilitary > gov. plates > the money store > no love deep web > niggas on the moon
gov. plates was the most branched out in my opinion, that's why its #2, but exmilitary holds a special place in my heart.

Exmilitary > No Love Deep Web > Government Plates > Niggas On the Moon > The Money Store
Even the Money Store sits as one of my favorite albums of all time, but not my favorite Death Grips album of all time.

I picked NOTM. All their other stuff has little problems. I think Exmilitary ends too heavily and too long. The last four tracks are some of their heaviest and noisiest songs and although I enjoy all of them I think it lets the overall album down, the album is flowing really well with songs that I still rate as their best (beware, takyon, guillotine, culture shock) and then 5D ends and you get these 4 incredibly heavy songs all of which are way longer than most of their other songs across all other albums, it can just be a bit too much on some listens.
Looking at the tracklist for TMS it is really hard to find fault and it will probably be remembered as their best album in years to come, at the moment NOTM does it for me more though.
I would probably rate NLDW as being their weakest work (although it does have my favourite song by them with No Love). It has some great songs but I think stuff like stockton, pop and whammy weigh it down for me.
GP has some killer songs with pillbox, Anne Bonny, Two heavens and Birds. The Rideless tracks did disappoint at first but I think NOTM has actually made me appreciate the production on those tracks way more than I did when I was first listening to GP.
NOTM on the moon is just too crazy and catchy not to love. I didn't think they could put something out that would make me feel as confused and exhilarated as TMS did when I first listened to it.
I would still probably rate Beware - 5D as their best collection of songs though
