October 4th-25th will be the next retrograde of Mercury. The way Death grips have played it in the past, when we think we have a date known, they release something the day before or after. I guess just to show us.

October sounds likely but given that Harvest won't let us download NLDW for free (legally) since they released that on physical (heck, probably before then) I highly doubt that Jenny Death is just going to be dropped for free. I've probably said this elsewhere but this is my prediction: At or around the start of the next retrograde the release date for The Powers that B on physical will be announced by Harvest. The release date will be the end of the retrograde, the last one for Mercury this year marking the end of the band. Either that, or we'll get a release date announced prior to the next retrograde and then pre-orders and proper details will be up at the start of the next retrograde. Something along these lines sounds the most accurate. I refuse to believe they'll just drop it out of the blue for free under some new Twitter or something like that. greenbrix and @zachhill have already been proven to be bullshit. Thirdworlds is back up and a_2_b_2 is the only real Twitter we know so I refuse to believe anything that comes from outside of these sources, unless there is, of course, real evidence (eg when @bbpoltergeist was run by Death Grips and they posted the 'Mrs. Stefan Burnett', 'Mrs. Andy Morin' and 'Mrs. Zach Hill' pictures. On a side-note, anybody got those photos saved? I only have the one of Stefan). So yeah, can't imagine why Jenny Death will just be dropped out of nowhere either for free or on physical. All I know is first chance I get I'm buying that baby on vinyl.

I found it on /mu/. I don't know if it's real or not, however "cessation" sounds very much like the production on NOTM.

Every time these potential DG instrumentals pop up on /mu/, I always think of them as rough drafts. Probably cause they are indeed fake. Cool interpretation but very rough on the edges. If the producer took time sharpening their mixing and mastering, they could really make something interesting. Take NOTM for example. Lush production but still drowning out some detail. Probably to make the listener listen deeper or other textual reasons. I know I listen deeper to find those little Easter eggs and whatnot. But yeah, that track needs some work and is most likely not DG.

All I know is first chance I get I'm buying that baby on vinyl. Yeah I really doubt they will make Jenny Death for free. They've given away GP and NOTM, Harvest is going to have to make some money on this if it'll be the last thing they ever put out. The suits up in harvest are surely aware that all of this recent attention has definitely served as quite the promotion for Jenny Death. Plus someone said earlier that this is the most hyped and anticipated release of their yet yet. GP wasn't really hyped cause nobody was expecting it. TMS was slightly hyped cause of the whole Epic singing ordeal and a lot of people were just really digging the singles they were throwing out. NO LOVE had more hype cause that tour had been cancelled and that Epic leak definitely brought them attention. Here they are roughly two years later. Their popularity has drastically increased since and the brand they burned on the music world has only gotten bigger. Not only did they drop out of a bigger tour (they would have been playing arenas around the US), but they broke up because they are now too legit. but i don't know. maybe it will be free

When is said “this is totally real” I was being sarcastic. British people don't usually say the word totally in any serious context. Anyway, that obviously fake greenbrix twit posted it. That photo everyone was using as evidence of its legitimacy is one of the thousands from the I've Seen Footage video. Didn't even bother downloading it because it's pretty much guaranteed to be fake.

People will buy TPTB even if it leaks so Harvest needs not to worry. Fans are definitely going to want to own the last DG album physically. I remember when NLDW showed up on Amazon pre-orders were gone in 2 days. Was in the top selling Amazon charts for a short while. I think orders went up a year after it leaked. So yeah, Harvest are definitely going to sell out and hopefully restock TPTB like Epic does TMS. Maybe they'll even sell GP and Ex Military? I mean why not, right?

I want the final sounds that happen on Jenny Death to be DG doing that awesome freakout they do live. They always start shows with it. low, hateful rumbling and samples shooting from every direction. Zach POUNDING as fast as he can. "IT'S DEATH GRIPSGRIPSGRIPSGRIPS" shouting through the speakers. you know what I'm talking about
