www.last.fm/user/ejsrocketLately I've been going through the Frank Zappa gauntlet very slowly. Frank's Garage was very cool but only the title track really felt like it had replayability. Also We're Only in it For the Money is an impenetrable wall of music. Also checking out Pavement's extended reissues. They're one of my fav bands of all time. Real guitar nerd stuff for me  I like how inventive they are with their tunings, chord/beat structures, and their overall slacker barely-held-together sound. it's like every song is badly taped together. i'll come back and edit this with some links

Been giving the new Shabazz Palaces a listen since I pre -ordered their new album. They gave me a link to stream the album and shit. It's sounds spectacular right now but the quality is pretty shit. Can't wait to the vinyl a spin when it gets here.
Also listening to the new Bongripper album. It's intense as fuck.

Also listening to the new Bongripper album. This. I love the new album. Doom / stoner / sludge metal is all I've been listening to lately. Stuff like that Melvins, Electric Wizard, Red Fang are all awesome. |

I dig sludge and stoner but some of those bands are too straightforward for my tastes. When I go sludgey I like early Mastodon or Butthole Surfers. Melvins are cool as fuck tho

Lately I've been going through the Frank Zappa gauntlet very slowly. "Waka/Jawaka" is where its at. One of the few Zappa releases I can listen to in its entirety and enjoy every second. |

i know they're talked about a lot nowadays whenever death grips (i can see why, but i don't agree with it) is brought up, but the new clipping. record is fucking amazing.

One of the best albums of the year, easily. I actually prefer it to NotM. Wasn't even a big fan of Midcity but CLPPNG is a huge step up in quality IMO. gotgotgot that game on 'em gotthatgotthat game on 'em |
