I imagine only the random passerby or moderator will read this. Considering the death of this board I hope it's not rule-breaking to post something like this to the main part of this board.
So the only places to discuss DG anymore are here, /mu/, and reddit. Let me know if there's more. I know that when Jenny Death comes out this place will have new oxygen in its lungs for a while but it'll be over soon after. I wonder if DG will simply have a postmortem album drop and that's it, or if something gamechanging will happen that shakes the foundations somehow... NLDW did that when it dropped. Knowing DG it'll be massive or it will be entropy. I don't know what point I'm trying to reach. Is it an immature vibe to mourn the shift out of focus and into legend territory that DG will move into once this is all over?
I've been reading this old thread someone on reddit linked ( archive.rebeccablacktech.com/mu/thread/S48008195#p48021475 ) talking about different critical thinking points on what DG wanted to say and convey. It breathed some new life into old DG ideas and stuff I took for granted. It makes me wanna go back through all the lyrics and really make sense of it all. It hurts to be so simple-minded art-wise, knowing I have to dwell over clear messages like I'm a caveman. I always pushed Artificial Death in the West aside because it wasn't that "great" of a song, but after receiving this new line of thought i've realized how massive of a message it has.
I'm rambling. If anyone's interested in sharing skype names I'm down for a new buddy. Maybe this will show up in everyone's emails as a forum update. That'd be nice. Welp, let's see how this goes. Thanks if you read this all.
